Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CFD simulations using ANSYS Fluent and/or Simerics for under-hood airflow and thermal analysis.
  • Conduct tube/pipe internal-flow simulations to evaluate velocity, flow distribution, and pressure drop.
  • Perform cooling and ventilation assessments.
  • Interpret CFD results and provide practical recommendations for design optimization.
  • Support design modifications based on CFD analysis results.
  • Coordinate with design, engineering, manufacturing, supplier, and project teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (Automobile, Production, etc.).
  • Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on CFD experience using ANSYS Fluent.
  • Mandatory Tool Proficiency: Good working knowledge of ANSYS Fluent.
  • Basic Design Knowledge: Familiarity with Creo is expected for the CFD role, with approximately 20% weightage.
  • Good to Have: Working knowledge of Simerics for CFD, irrespective of the domain or application (e.g., mining, defense, genset, etc.).
  • Core Competencies
  • Strong engineering fundamentals.
  • Good communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Domain / Component Preferences
  • Candidates from any domain are acceptable, with a basic understanding of components such as heat exchangers, etc.
  • Subsystem exposure, particularly to cooling systems and intake/exhaust systems, is preferred.
  • Candidates should have an understanding of relevant tools and processes.
  • Engine Knowledge
  • Familiarity with diesel engines and genset applications is preferred.
