Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for genset systems, ensuring optimal performance, durability, and manufacturability.
  • Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using Creo, ensuring compliance with design standards and specifications.
  • Work experience of working on switchgear subsystem design, including layouts, structural components, and interface elements.
  • Perform design validation to ensure proper form, fit, and function of components.
  • Apply GD&T principles (Tolerance zones, MMC, LMC etc.) in design and detailing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, manufacturing, sourcing etc.) for product development and integration.
  • Manage product data and revisions using Windchill PLM.
  • Support New Product Design and Development (NPD) processes from concept to release.
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives.

Skills and Experience Required:
  • Qualification - B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or Associated Branches
  • Experience Range - 1 to 3 Years using Creo Parametric (Latest Version)
  • CAD Proficiency: Pro/E – Creo Parametric
  • Expected Skill Level – Expert in Creo Sheetmetal modelling and drafting
  • Knowledge of Windchill PLM will be an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in sheet metal design and fabrication processes.
  • Good understanding of material selection and manufacturing methods.
  • Good knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
  • Experience in genset/switchgear/power distribution systems will be an added advantage.
  • Good communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and across all phases of the product lifecycle.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in dynamic project environments.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and mindset.
  • Attention to detail and quality orientation.
