Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to develop, maintain, and optimize Bill of Materials (BOM) structures for products and assemblies.
  • Support product costing activities by collecting, analyzing, and validating cost data for components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate with factory and production teams to ensure effective communication, alignment, and timely resolution of costing and manufacturing-related issues.
  • Develop a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, purchased components, and equipment assemblies.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, cost breakdowns, and product cost analyses to support business and engineering decisions.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of costing methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance costing accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify cost reduction opportunities and improve product profitability.
  • Maintain costing records, BOM databases, and related documentation while ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in Product Costing, BOM Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related functions.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication techniques, equipment assemblies, and engineering drawings.
  • Experience in BOM creation, maintenance, and cost analysis activities.
  • Knowledge of product costing methodologies, cost estimation techniques, and cost optimization principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with engineering, production, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems; exposure to SAP or similar systems is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
