Key Responsibilities:
  • Reported Field issue debugging, status update, co-ordination with cross functional teams
  • Test plan creation and test execution (On Genset/MATLAB based simulation system-HIL/MIL)
  • CPS and System design
  • 7-step Root cause analysis,
  • Provide solutions, validation, iDFMEA for Powergen controllers.
  • Provide system engineering expertise in solving the genset controller issues reported from genset integration team, customers and field
  • Drive change request design and validation for new features and defects identified.

Skills and Experience Required
  • Experience Range: 6 to 8 Years
  • Qualification: Preferred ME/MTech/Msc(Electronics/Electrical) or B.E/B.Tech  Electronics/Electrical)
  • Fault Diagnostics of Controller card
  • Product development lifecycle- in general knowledge
  • PSHA (Product Safety & Hazard Analysis) and Product risk assessment
  • Alternator domain knowledge
  • High level idea of Software calibration
  • Feedback Control Loops/Theory (PG Programs)- AVR, Voltage Regulation, Speed Governing
  • Project plan creation in Microsoft project
  • Engine Domain Knowledge - Base Engine, Controls, Application
  • Genset Domain Knowledge - PLC, Paralleling, 3rd Party Interfacing
    Good to have skills:
  • Embedded C code understanding skill
  • Hardware schematics readability
  • Datalink domain Knowledge ISO 7-layer, Modbus, Ethernet, CAN
  • Embedded HW, SW, Service tool, HMI
  • Six Sigma Tools and Methodology - RACI, SOW, PUGH Matrix, DOE
  • Working knowledge of Electronic System - Harness, Sensor, Actuator, Switch gears, breakers, charging alternator
  Must have skills:
  • Knowledge of Power system controllers basic to mid-level
  • Electronics and Electrical knowledge (on Automotive or Powergen)
  • Electronic Control Architecture - microprocessor based products
  • Requirement gathering, System design Documentation
